I'm BAAAACCCKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I know that I practically fell off the face of the earth and no knitting content has been sighted here in a while, but I'm not going to bother you all with trying to catch up with 5 months of my life. Instead we'll just leave it at "I've been busy. The End."

I'm back now so all of you can see what I've been up to. First of all, my high school choir teacher and his wife have welcomed a new addition to their family. If you have time, go check out the pictures, she is soooooo cute. And because the classes that I had with that teacher and voice lessons with his wife were some of the glowing exceptions to the statement "High School sucks" (and the fact that I had plenty of notice via their blog) I knit said baby a blanket. Of course at the time I didn't actually know that it was going to be another girl so I picked up some "baby" colors and figured that 1) they would be thrilled at the gift and not try to be picky about colors and 2) it's a baby, it's cute, everything else is just trim. Having said that it was a girl, Lydia Mazie Leuck. Just ignore the unmade state of my bed in the picture... it was an hour before i had to leave to go to the concert where I was going to be able to give the Leuck's the blanket and I was taking a break from holding up the giant floor fan to try and dry the blanket enough so that it wasn't creepily wet when I wrapped it up.

In my other knitting news, I finished my first sweater!!!!!!!! Everything turned out really well all things considered. If I make this one again I'll probably adjust things so that it has a higher collar and shorter sleeves but as this one went to my cousin and she totally loved it, it's all good. I'll go look for ball bands and such later but I'm in the process of moving and such so it may be a while before I get specifics about yarn on here. I know that I used Noro Keuyron for the sleeves and KnitPicks Wool of the Andes for the body. Other then that, I've forgotten everything.

And since this has been longer then I really meant for it to be, mostly because I have a lot of an apartment to pack up still, I'm going to run away. Enjoy the week and I'll attempt to post something a bit more regularly in the future but no promises.

Schools almost here again...

One more week until school starts and then no more unlimited days of knitting. The good news is though that I have a couple of huge lecture classes that it shouldn't be a big deal if I have a couple of small projects with me. I can't find my camera at the moment so no pictures this post. I'm about half way through a sweater for DH and ready to start the edging on a blanket for my mom's cousin who just had twins. This is blanket one of two. Once I get done I'm going to have to decide if the blankets are going to be fraternal or identical twins. I think that they might be fraternal twin blankets given the amount of yarn that I have got in the various colors. Anyways... I'm going to and use the precious study free days to knit some more!!!!
