I know all, I've seriously fallen off the turnip truck when it comes to keeping up with this blog... the good news is that I have a reallly great excuse. About a month ago I got a new job (and while I hate having to work and not knit, the bills still come in the mail)!!! So I am gainfully employeed again and even doing something that I can feel good about! But let me tell you all, living your values is hard freaking work! I am back to cleaning houses for a living but the company that I am working with uses all earth-friendly and chemical free products. It's really nice because I think that all of the chemicals that modern society uses are not really good for us and so having an alternative is great... but organic products just don't have quite as much dirt disolving power and so it is left up to the human element to really make it work. In news other then my job, I have actually been knitting (hence the fact that this is a knitting blog) and figured that I'd throw some things out there!
This is one of a pair of fingerless gloves that I made for myself... I just decided that I was sick of wearing long sleeved shirts but I was cold so I had to think of something. they are really nice and warm and go up to just below my elbows, perfect for the lovely (read: cold as the arctic) winters here in Michigan. And I also just realised that I have to leave now so thats all you get. More to come soon I hope!
